Burning Man Rentals

Rental Rates & Cleaning Deposit / Fee

We have worked in the past to treat Burning Man like any other rental, but the nature of the event has lead us to institute some changes regarding units going to Burning Man. All Burning Man rentals will be reserved from the Friday afternoon prior to the event through the Tuesday following Labor Day at Noon. Any extra days will cost $400 each. There is a $1000 fully refundable interior cleaning deposit and you are NOT responsible for cleaning the outside of the RV. NO SMOKING in any of our rentals. A $250 fee will be charged for units returned with smoke odor.

  • 22'-24' units are $5000 for Burning Man
  • 28', 30' and 32' units are $5500 for Burning Man
  • Trailers are $3000 for Burning Man

There is no change to the cost of linen kits, kitchen kits and bike racks, but supplies are limited. 

Even the most responsible of renters will most likely be unable to return the unit in pre-Burn conditions and should be prepared to not receive a full cleaning refund. But we are more than willing, excited even, to return money if you can take care of most of the heavy lifting when it comes cleaning. Returning the RV with no cleaning effort will make you ineligible for future Burning Man rentals.

Units that are taken to Burning Man without our prior knowledge will be billed accordingly upon return, and the cleaning deposit will be forfeited. 

There are numerous reasons for this elevated pricing for the event. The first and most obvious is demand. All but two of our motorhomes went to Burning Man last year. Secondly, having that many units at Burning Man creates a scenario where we do not have units available for other renters in the days after the event because of the cleaning needed to eliminate the dust, even in the most cared for of units. This pricing helps to offset days of lost rentals needed to get the units back to pre-Burn conditions.

Insurance

Renters must provide a full coverage insurance binder through their personal auto carrier or purchase insurance through RV's To Go. We reserve the right to require a binder or decline the rental. If insurance is purchased, the deductible must be bonded.

If you purchase insurance through us, the rates are as follows:
  • Class C RVs- $25/day with a $2500 damage deposit
  • Trailers - $15/day with a $1500 damage deposit

Additional Reservation Requirements

  • All rental trips originate from our business in Portland, OR and return to the same location. One way trips entail an extra fee. 
  • A 30% non-refundable prepayment is required to reserve a motor home. 

Cancellations

There are NO refunds of pre-payments on cancellations. With that said, a reservation can be cancelled up to one week from booking for a full refund (less $25 processing fee) as long as the cancellation is more than 2 weeks from pick up date. Any cancellation within 72 hours of Noon on the pick up date will be charged for the entire tour charge. Because we are not monsters we try to under-promise and over-deliver here, so at our discretion a credit MAY be applied towards a future rental in some cases.
